The PBhev Laptops comes with Windows 10 64bit Family edition. Since it is a customised version, installing a different Windows 10 version seems to be quite a challenge for many. That is why we have thought it wise to provide a brief guide on how you can install other versions of Windows 10 64bit on your PBhev. Before proceeding with this guide, bare in mind that installing a different system(Windows 10 professional for example) will not install most basic drivers and you will have to do it manually.

Before we dive into the process, it will be wise we brief you on some of the specs:
The PBhev laptop is the Presidential gift offered to Cameroonian University students for the 2016-2017 academic year, in order to assist them in their educational work. Here are some of its key specifications;

Getting started
If your PBhev laptop encountered a system problem and you have to format and install say Windows 10 64 bits Professional, then the following will come in handy;
- A USB HDD (at least 4GB)
- Windows 10 64 bits Professional or Family disk image
- A Computer with PowerISO installed (This will be used to make a bootable USB HDD)
- Drivers
Once you have got the above ready(you should already have a bootable USB HDD ready), the next issue is knowing the boot key for the PBhev Laptop. In most scenario, as it is the case for the variants with a blue LED, the boot key is F9.
For some variants, you can enter the boot manager by pressing F3 or F12. If neither if the above function key is able to power yours into the boot manager, you can always use F2 or ESC to enter BIOS and configure boot order by setting your USB HDD as the primary boot device.
After setting the USB HDD as the primary boot device, you are now ready to install a Windows on your PBhev.
Installation
Installing Windows 10 on your PBhev laptop is no different from any other Laptop. The major issue is knowing the boot key or how to set up your PBhev to boot from your USB HDD.
Once you have already booted your USB HDD, proceed thus with the installation;
- Make sure your PBhev laptop is switched off.
- Next, plug in your USB HDD and power on. Once you see the PBhev logo, press the F9 or F3 function key to enter boot manager. Note that if you did configure boot order from BIOS, there will be no need pressing any function key since your Laptop will automatically boot from your USB HDD.
- From the Boot Manager, select your bootable USB HDD and boot from it.
- If your USB HDD was well booted, it should load installation files. For my case, I have to choose from 32 bits and 64 bits since my booted system has both versions.
- It will collect all necessary files and you can choose the installation language and Keyboard language.
After setting keyboard language and display language, you can proceed with the installation. Make sure to chose keyboard language based on your keyboard layout.
- Now, select your installation language and keyboard language and click on Next to proceed. Language selection will all depend on the Windows 10 you are installing. For mine, its a French version.
- On the next screen, all you have to do is click on Install.
- On the next screen that displays, you will be asked for a license key. Simply ignore and proceed to the next step.
- Next, accept license terms and proceed. Then chose the second installation option(advanced or personalise).
- Now you should be able to see all the different partitions of your HDD. I will advise you delete(not format!) all partitions and then create a new one. When you do the later, it will automatically regenerate MSR reserved partition, system and recovery partitions including the primary partition where you have to install the new copy of Windows 10 64 bits.
- The installation will now debut with the copying of files and then extraction. This step will take about 15 - 25 minutes to complete.
- When this step is completed, your laptop will have to reboot. Remove your USB HDD while it is still showing the count down.
- After the later, the installation proper will start with registry upgrading and drivers installation. At this point, your laptop will reboot several times so that shouldn't be a border.
- This stage will also take a couple of minutes.
- When the drivers and registry installation and upgrading are completed, your PBhev will now show the License screen where you have to input license key to activate your copy of Windows. Ignore and proceed to the next step.
- After the later, you will need to provide the owner's information — Name and password.
- After this, programs installation will start. It will equally take about 3 - 5 minutes to complete, and your laptop will now be ready.

Note that unlike other Computers where you get most drivers ready after formatting and installing a new copy of Windows OS, the PBhev will not have them installed since it uses latest drivers which are not found on most copies of Windows 10 64 bits out there.
Also, you cannot use driver tools like driver talent or driver pack solution to get compatible drivers. As such, you will have to download pbhev drivers and install them.
